Our Mission

Rebel Shakespeare Company hopes to promote the original mission of developing the following traits in the future Rebels: the art of public speaking, theatre education and training, communication skills (both oral and written), cultural awareness through performances and talks, and broader world view. We hope that Rebel Shakespeare Company empowers children to reach their intellectual, emotional and artistic potential.

As in a theatre, the eyes of men, after a well-graced actor leaves the stage, are idly bent on him that enters next.

Our regular programs educate, encourage, and challenge young people through the timeless works of William Shakespeare. Actors ages 8 to 14 will participate in theatre games, improvisation, visual arts, literary analysis, physical movement, and so much more. Lifetime friendships will be made, and young minds will be opened.

Why Join Rebel Shakespeare?

We are actors — we are the opposite of people!

The Teen program is designed for high school-aged students who are interested in an intensive theatre experience. In four short weeks, the actors will prepare a full-length show to be performed at Marblehead Little Theatre.
